Please be advised that all regular meetings of the Wayne Municipal Council scheduled for the 1st Wednesday of each month are cancelled until further notice. However, at this time, all meetings scheduled for the 3rd Wednesday of each month will still be held. If there is any change to the regular venue and/or format to these meetings appropriate notice will be sent to the newspapers, posted on our website, channel 77 and our social media accounts. Wayne Health Department is postponing March and April programs until further notice. Please visit the Wayne Heath Department Webpage.
At this time, all Parks and Recreation programs and events are canceled through April 12, 2020. Senior Transportation services will be limited to grocery stores and doctors’ appointments only.

The safety of our community is of utmost importance to Wayne Township and the Department of Parks & Recreation. Given the ongoing impact of COVID-19, the Township will follow CDC recommendations and directives issued by Governor Murphy on March 12, 2020. At this time the following events are cancelled:
March 20 – Paterson Museum Bus Trip
April 2 – Tina Turner Musical on Broadway
April 3 – Beach Boys Concert at NJPAC
Tickets purchased through Parks and Recreation for these activities will be refunded in full. The Department will contact ticket holders about their refund.
The annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, March 28 has been postponed. We will monitor the situation and follow guidance provided by the State of New Jersey to determine whether a new date will be feasible. An announcement will be made through the Township’s email and social media accounts.
The start of the Wayne Walks program, scheduled for Saturday, March 28 will also be postponed. A new date is to be determined. Participants will receive a separate email notification about the program.
Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, Parks and Recreation youth and adult activities will follow the Wayne Public Schools calendar. If schools close, all after-school, evening and weekend programs will be postponed until schools resume. As long as schools remain open, programs will operate as scheduled.
Senior Transportation services will continue to operate Monday through Friday as scheduled.
