Building Maintenance

BUILDING MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

STARTING SALARY: $43,741
SPECIAL SKILLS: Must possess current and valid NJ Driver’s License; 5 years of experience in work involving the inspection, cleaning and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, offices, and buildings; 2 years of experience supervising maintenance and custodial staff.

CUSTODIAN/MAINTENANCE
Wednesday – Sunday, 4pm-midnight

SPECIAL SKILLS: Valid New Jersey Driver’s License; Ability to perform general custodial maintenance; General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and practical electricity; Ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks; Ability to routinely lift 50lbs or more.

Engineering

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/ENGINEERING – TOWNSHIP OF WAYNE (PASSAIC COUNTY) 

The Township of Wayne a dynamic suburban community with a population of 55,000 seeks a full time Director of Public Works/Engineering. The successful candidate will supervise the Township’s Engineering Office, Construction Code Office, Property Maintenance Division, and Fire Bureau. Director will also oversee the Department of Public Works. The Director will report directly to the Township Business Administrator. Duties include, but are not limited to serve as Zoning Board engineer and review Zoning Board subdivision and site plan applications; perform complex engineering tasks, provide analysis recommendations, and conclusions to senior management in areas of responsibility; serve as Municipal Flood Plain Manager and CRS Program Coordinator; serve as Municipal Stormwater Program Coordinator; coordinate with other government entities; attend required night meetings; plan and execute Township’s capital plans for roadways, bridges, dams, lake dredging, and storm water sewers; coordinate with the water and sewer utility on capital improvement project; serve as liaison for Environmental remediations of Township properties and assist the Police Department in review of traffic issues. Minimum Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a current NJ Professional Engineer license. Certified Public Works Manager (CPWM) required or ability to obtain within two years. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid NJ driver’s license and NJ residency is required. SALARY RANGE: $20 – $25 hour
SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to assist in instructional tasks. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, associates and the public. Ability to utilize computers, relevant software, phones and other types of electronic or manual office equipment. Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position. SENIOR PLANNING COORDINATOR

Coordinates the processing of land use applications to the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment to ensure an orderly, predictable, and timely process from submission of application to final approval or denial. Qualified applicants must be knowledgeable in procedures and general criteria of planning and have or be able to obtain Board Secretary certificate. Strong communication and management skills are required, including the ability to coordinate department’s workload and disseminate to clerical staff for processing, and communicate effectively with other Township departments, applicants, and general public. Ability to work independently in a busy environment is critical. Aptitude with Microsoft Office, and comfort in learning new software is required. SALARY RANGE: $6,000 season

SALARY RANGE: $41,887

SPECIAL SKILLS: Must have Successfully Completed POMCA I and POMCA II (proof of completion being New Jersey Judiciary Certificate stating you have successfully completed all requirements of the prescribed course of instruction) and have a minimum of one year court experience. Knowledge of Tyler and 311 programs, Edmunds, Excel and Word all a plus.  Strong communication skills.
