Roads and Snow Removal

This Division provides maintenance and repair of all municipal public roads within the Township, including all pavement and asphalt berm repairs.

This Division also provides snow removal and salting operations for Township roadways. During snow events, the Snow Desk is staffed for the duration of the storm. Please call the Snow Desk at 973-694-6909 x 4310 for inquiries or complaints.

Things to consider during a snowstorm 

• Please wait to clear sidewalks until the roads have been plowed curb to curb.
• Snow should be put on your own property, not into the roadway, municipal ordinance 180-22.
• If you have a sidewalk its the property owner’s responsibility to clear 48 hours after the snowfall stops, municipal ordinance 180-20. 
• No Parking on any roadways.

• TOWNSHIP ROADS – Wayne Operations Division by Reporting a Problem or by phone at 973-694-6909 x 4322. Any complaint that the Township receives about potholes on a Township owned and maintained road will be responded to in an expeditious manner.
