
Wayne Walks Walking Club encourages participants to move, make new friends, visit new places, while setting attainable goals for a healthy lifestyle!
Group walks are one mile in length and suitable for all age groups. Visit local parks and discover walking trails you never knew existed!
We are looking for routine walkers to become neighborhood walk leaders. You get to pick the walk time and location of your choice. Inquire with Parks & Recreation by email or phone 973-694-1800 x 3260.

Shai Shacknai– meet in parking lot at 55 Greenrale Ave.

Grover Cleveland Parks Loop Trail, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, bus departs 9:30 a.m.*– As the first county park in western Essex County, the site was originally selected for its natural beauty and its potential to provide a space for relaxation and recreation. It contains gentle rolling hills, broad meadows and other environmentally aesthetic features. Slight incline, paved trail.
Pompton Valley Rail Trail, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, bus departs 9:30 a.m.*– We strongly encourage everyone to take the Township Bus for this walk. It will be a straight line from one end of the trail to the other end. Join us on the new Pompton Valley Trail that connects Wayne to Pequannock and continues through Morris County! We will be hiking the Wayne portion. Our group will meet at Haul Rd. and hop on the trail heading south toward the Mountainview Train Station. Walk is 1.75 miles in length.
Ramapo Valley Reservation, Wednesday, October 28, 2026, bus departs 9:30 a.m.*– Join us on a fall foliage adventure at Ramapo Valley Reservation. We’ll take a walk up to the reservoir to enjoy all the fall colors. Walk is approximately 2 miles, there are some hills, so please wear sturdy shoes!Â
End of the Season, Friday, November 13, 2026, 12:00 p.m. – End of the season lunch and walk at the Wayne Community Center, 1 Pike Dr., Wayne.
* Township bus will be provided for anyone needing transportation for Special Group Outings.
